Lucas and Sophie have kept us on our toes the last few weeks. Lucas has been going to a summer camp twice a week for the month of July and he has also been in swim lessons every afternoon for the last two weeks. He has done remarkably well and now dives under water and wants to "cannonball" and do flips all the time. He is growing and maturing so fast that it scares me.

Sophie has discovered a love for unpacking things. Every cabinet, basket, or box that she can find she unpacks. Yesterday she fell into her toy basket and got stuck. I chose to get her out instead of run for the camera, next time I'll get pics.
Lucas has taken a clue from his cartoon role model "Max" from Max and Ruby. Max apparently likes to take a "morning bath" so Lucas now needs a "morning bath" which he draws himself and is usually quite cold. Sometimes it gives me time to get dressed and brush my teeth, other times I am in the middle of making breakfast and hear the water running....Aargh!
With Sophie more mobile now, she is exploring everything. Her new best friend is Millie the dog. She pretty much tries to do everything Millie does. If Millie is laying down Sophie crawls over and tries to lay on top of her. When she moves and lays down again, Sophie follows her and lays on top of her. Today Millie was trying to watch Nixon and I down stairs and there was her little sidekick...Sophie. Poor Millie thought Lucas was enough... by the way she told us to put feelers out for a new childless home or was that a new dogless home for our children.

So glad that swimming lessons went well for you. You sound like me -- trying to keep up with everything these kiddos get into!
